"The greatest disease in the West today is not TB or leprosy; it is being unwanted, unloved, and uncared for. We can cure physical diseases with medicine, but the only cure for loneliness, despair, and hopelessness is love. There are many in the world who are dying for a piece of bread but there are many more dying for a little love. The poverty in the West is a different kind of poverty — it is not only a poverty of loneliness but also of spirituality. There’s a hunger for love, as there is a hunger for God."

"When you meet someone who tries their hardest to stick by you regardless of how difficult you are, keep them. Keep them at all costs because finding someone who cares enough to look past your flaws isn’t something that happens every day."
Midnight Thoughts (I got lucky with you)
Sucks to be you
This reminds me so much of my boyfriend who just holds me when I cry, even when I try pushing him away when he comes close to hug me. I always scream “I HAD A BAD DAY AND DON’T WANT YOU TO TOUCH ME!!!!” and he hears what I’m truly saying, which is “I feel like an awful person who is unworthy of love!!!!” and he hugs me like it’s the last thing he’ll ever do.
